From Lakeside to Brunchside
During many meetings, what's on the menu can soon overwhelm what's on the agenda. To paraphrase Tennyson:
"In the morning a delegate's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of lunch. With this as food for thought, we've revamped the programme at our conference centre to give you a real appetite for work.
After your luxurious overnight stay at Lakeside and an early morning wake-up stroll by the shores of Windermere, you get straight down to business at 8 o'clock, while we serve you a brain-charging breakfast of hot coffee and warm croissants in your meeting room.
Then, as the hunger pangs arrive and minds wander (usually around 11 o'clock), you take a break out for a nourishing Cumbrian brunch of locally-cured bacon, Foulshaw free-range eggs and more in the comfort of our Lakeview restaurant.
After your hearty feast, you are now ready for a serious, unbroken session of work right through to any other business. You conclude your day unwinding in our conservatory with our Lakeland afternoon tea, including Cartmel Valley smoked salmon sandwiches and freshly baked scones with Lyth Valley damson jam, before departing completely satisfied."
