A recipe for delicious dining
From exquisite fine dining to classic brasserie menus, dinner is the highlight of any stay here at Lakeside, with two superb restaurants to savour.
At our 2 AA Rosette Lakeview Restaurant, every meal feels like a special occasion (including our famous breakfasts). Candlelight, fresh flowers and fine wines from our cellar set the mood for a delicious dining experience every evening. Our head chef Richard Booth is passionate about sourcing Cumbria’s freshest seasonal produce and letting the flavours speak for themselves.
Meanwhile, John Ruskin’s Brasserie brings city chic to Lakeside, serving brasserie favourites in an informal, bustling atmosphere with fantastic service.
Breakfast overlooking the lake is something very special. Ease yourself into the day with freshly squeezed orange juice and the finest quality ingredients cooked to order, with attentive table service throughout
For aperitifs or light meals, Ruskin’s Bar is a stylish meeting place, but the cosiest spot for a nightcap has to be the Panel Bar, our 17th century coaching inn, with Cumbrian damson gin and Hawkshead Brewery bitter on draught.
Breakfast
Our goal is to make breakfast a highlight of your stay. Breakfast at Lakeside is a memorable experience.
Conservatory

Afternoon Tea
Our famous afternoon teas served overlooking the lake have a loyal following throughout the north west with regular changes to the selection to make the best of seasonal fruits.
