Lakeside Hotel’s gardens are packed with choice plants, the gardens have been created to be of all year round interest to our guests, and we hope to surprise and delight our residents whatever their own level of gardening knowledge. We have a weekly tour every Monday morning at 10am throughout the Summer months and our gardeners are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
The carefully designed planting combinations are perfectly offset by the waters edge location, there are plenty of places to sit and relax and take in the stunning views across the lake. Some rooms open directly into the garden, whilst several rooms have their own private gardens.
Our main garden areas have generous plantings of shrubs, herbaceous plants and seasonal bedding, with more unusual varieties alongside the traditional favourites. There are drifts of evergreen foliage shrubs, Fragrant shrub roses, plants selected for scent and winter interest species too. Many of our ground floor bedrooms at Lakeside have direct access to the gardens, some of our rooms also have their own private garden space, designed to a particular theme.
