Families

We love children - in fact, our senior management team have 10 between them!

We offer a selection of 8 spacious family rooms for 2 adults and up to 3 children. Our family rooms enjoy either an internal second bedroom, where the children sleep or our double sized rooms allow plenty of space for everyone.

Families are an important part of our hotel and we offer a family menu in our Fine Dining Restaurant, as well as the attached 'Children's Choices'.

In our pool, children under 15 years of age are welcome at any time, when supervised by a responsible adult but the gym can only be used by guests aged 15 and over.

Of course Windermere Lake Cruisers sail from right outside the hotel and the Lakes Aquarium is across the car park but if you are looking for somewhere different to take the family, then why not visit the Lake District Peninsulas for an exciting day out. Some of our favourites include:

South Lakes Wild Animal Park Immerse yourself in wild animals at one of Europe's top conservation parks. See breeding group of rhinos mixing with a herd of giraffes and a troupe of baboons: wander free amongst lemurs and kangaroos: see spectacled bears, cheetahs, lions & monkeys at the world's top Sumatran tiger conservation centre. The Colony Candle Workshop allows visitors to see the traditional craft of candle making every working day of the week, through the specially designed Viewing Gallery.
