Our Fine Wines
Our extensive wine cellar lists over 200 wines from across the world. We are particularly proud however of our collection of Rhone wines and our association with the Domaine de Cabasse, a delightful small hotel and vineyard situated at the foot of the village of Seguret.
Nicolas and Alfred run this hotel and vineyard and produce superb wines from the Rhone. Our proprietor Neville Talbot discovered this excellent independent producer whilst travelling the Rhone Valley in search of new and exclusive wines for our list. Lakeside is now the largest UK importer of wines from Domaine De Cabasse

D'Eux 2 - £49.80
~ 2000 ~
This is a blend of two-thirds Syrah and one third Grenache and has been aged in barrels for 18 months before being bottled without filtering. This wine is aged in oak �barriques� for 20 months. The taste has a fruity and spicy vanilla aroma and gives abundant fruit on the tongue. A full-bodied wine with very well integrated oak. Great structure and velvety tannins. Gold Medal winner2006.
CUVEE GARNACHO - £28.00

This dark ruby colour with rich aromas of fruit and spices. Well balanced in the mouth thanks to its concentration and subtle tannins. It has a long and harmonious finish. Red Grenache 80%, Counise 10%, Syrah 5% Carignan 5%. Gold medal winner, London 2006.
CUVEE DE LA CASA BASSA - £34.00

An excellent dark ruby colour with fresh aromas of blackberry, vanilla and coffee. The taste gives a velvety flavour of spices and noble tannins. There is a long and seductive finish to the wine. 13.5% volume.
GIGONDAS - £36.50

The wine has a dark ruby colour with an aroma of ripe fruits and spices. Long and
harmonious finish 14% volume. This is now one of the top selling Rhone wines. Bronze winner at the Concours General, Paris 2006
Les Deux Anges SABLET - £24.00

The wine has a red fruit aroma and is garnet in colour. It is a dry smooth and velvety wine with smooth tannins and an elegant finish.
LES PRIMEVERES SEGURET, Cotes Du Rhone Blanc - £28.50

Produced from Grenache, Rroussanne, Viognier and pale grapes.
Strong flavours of white flowers, apples and honey, gives this wine a pleasant acidity and good finish.
