With so many delights here at Lakeside, you may well find that you never want to leave.
This peaceful haven enjoys an idyllic setting at the southern tip of Lake Windermere. Complete with exclusive pool and spa, Lakeside has become a much loved destination in its own right.
The scene is set for luxurious warmth as soon as you step into our entrance hall with its cherished heirlooms and treasures. Antique furniture and oak panelling nestle alongside plump sofas, contemporary artworks and hand-crafted chandeliers for an eclectic yet homely feel.
Stunning displays of fresh flowers complete the picture, often from our own carefully tended gardens. Stretching to the lake shore, these landscaped grounds are the perfect place to stroll and admire the picture-postcard view across the lake to the fells beyond. Breathtaking in sunshine, snow or showers – and you can gaze at it all day long from our conservatory whatever the weather.
Our History
Set on the southern shores of Lake Windermere, Lakeside Hotel, originally a 17th Century Coaching Inn, has grown and developed with the increase of visitors to the area.
The Gardens
Lakeside Hotel's gardens are packed with choice plants, the gardens have been created to be of all year round interest to our guests, and we hope to surprise and delight our residents whatever their own level of gardening knowledge.
