Electric Bicycle Network at Lakeside Hotel
A brand new Electric Bicycle Network will launch in the Lake District, Cumbria on Monday 11th July and Lakeside Hotel is proud to be one of the forerunners with 2 bikes available to hire here at the hotel!
The scheme will provide the perfect way to explore the hills, lakes and fells of Cumbria’s renowned landscape with the subtle but powerful assistance of an electric bike, but without the strain of steep inclines!
The Lake District Electric Bicycle Network is supported by Cumbria Tourism and the Lake District National Park Authority and encompasses the central and southern Lake District. It is made up of scenic cycle routes and hire and charge points linking beautiful locations with quality places to stay, eat and drink.
The fleet of up to 50 electric bikes will be run by local businesses primarily for the visitor market and will open up Cumbria’s spectacular scenery and cycle routes to all as well as promoting low-carbon, sustainable electric travel.
