South Lakes Freerider
Free Transport to Lake District Attractions
In summer 2011, Lakeside Hotel collaborated with other local businesses to launch a free bus service which enabling our guests to travel around the area's most prominent attractions with ease. The South Lakes Freerider offered 8 shuttles each day from 9.15am onwards, each stopping to collect and drop off visitors at all ten participating businesses.
This fantastic way to move around the South Lakes and and visit some of our great attractions without having to worry about driving, parking, directions or damaging the environment was a huge success and plans are now being made to relaunch the service in 2012 - watch this space!
