starters include classics such as: cheese souffle with tomato jam, ham hock terrine with pear & saffron puree, curried salt cod, seared pigeon breast with chorizo popcorn and king scallops with wild garlic bavarois.

rare breed steaks from a charcoal barbecue in a sealed chamber, hake with artichoke, lamb loin with watercress gnocchi, seabass with smoked mussels, nicoise risotto and herdwick rack of lamb for two are just a taste of our main courses.

desserts of blackcurrant souffle, dark chocolate fondant, vanilla cheesecake with mango sorbet, white chocolate & raspberry plus a personally sourced european selection of twelve cheeses.

Five evenings each week

The kitchen team are developing a contemporary Tapas menu
Our aim to create a completely different dining experience for you, as part of your stay at Lakeside

Snacks with a pre-dinner drink will include smoked mackerel, with beer bread wafer, fennel & chilli sauerkraut, cumberland sausage & maple syrup – as well as wonderful olives, feta, ciabatta & balsamic

Select 3 dishes from a choice of 12+
english asparagus, potato & truffle rosti, hollandaise
jamican goat curry, caribbean bean & rice
smoked sardines, chilli, lime & soy dressing, pancetta
sherry vinegar glazed beetroot, ragstone cheese, watercress
braised shin of beef, truffle mash, crispy onions…
just to name a few that are being created 

Alternatively there will be some complete dishes to share from the chargrill
rack of herdwick lamb, beef sirloin, market fish…
served with watercress, mushrooms, tomato and Chips or new potatoes

and a great U14’s menu to be enjoyed in any restaurant.
