Hill Top Beatrix Potter House
A National Trust property, Hill Top was Beatrix Potter’s farmhouse retreat and the inspiration for many of her famous books. You can explore the house and gardens, pop into an onsite café, shop a treasure trove of themed products, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the Herdwick sheep.

The World of Beatrix Potter
Discover The World of Beatrix Potter, an enchanting attraction that brings the Lake District writer and illustrator’s most famous children’s stories to life. Take the ferry over to Bowness-on-Windermere and hop, skip, and jump around with Peter Rabbit himself!

Windermere Lake Cruises
Check the timetable and sail away! With the Windermere Lake Cruises passenger ferry docking right outside the hotel doors, grab the ferry into Bowness-on-Windermere or all the way to the north of the lake to Ambleside. Ghyll Scrambling
Another proper Lake District adventure. It’s time to get wet (on purpose – rather than caught in the rain)! Ghyll scrambling involves clambering up a mountain river, jumping into plunge pools, and exploring nature’s natural water slides.

E-biking
If you are most comfortable on two wheels, E-Bike Safaris is a great way to explore the Lake District, while ease-e-ride offers e-bike hire in the South Lakes and Morecambe Bay areas.

Paddle Boarding
Whether you want to hire a board or take a guided tour, Bowness Paddle Boards, run by two sisters who love life on the lake, can show you the ropes. You’ll find Windermere from the lake, compared to the shore, a much quieter place to be!
