22nd December
Arrive a day early and beat the rush. Enjoy dinner, bed and breakfast plus complimentary tickets to visit a partner attraction.
23rd December
Arrive at the hotel to the sound of bagpipes, where we will show you around and help you get settled in.
Welcome drinks reception and canapés in our Lakeside Suite. An opportunity to meet each other and the Lakeside Team.
Our famous Grazing Buffet Dinner will be served in the Lakeview Restaurant, Oak Room and Conservatory. Informal table magic, giving a relaxed start to our festive celebrations.
Christmas Eve
Breakfast is served overlooking Lake Windermere.
Our chartered cruise will depart at 12.30pm for a 2-hour sail, giving you a chance to discover the lake from the water.
A welcome drink will be served as we depart the pier. A buffet of sandwiches, fruit cake and homemade scones will be served while onboard.
Join us for traditional carols in the Lakeside Suite performed by a brass quartet, for some Christmas Eve cheer.
Your dinner will be served, with live music as we build up to the big day!
Goody bags for Santa and his reindeer will be available to hang on your door.
Christmas Day
Breakfast will be served, as we wait for a visit from Father Christmas 10am. Hopefully with presents for those children who have been good this year…
An option of walks for those who wish to build up an appetite for Christmas Lunch, take your pick:
Gummers Howe A short circular fell walk involving a steady climb (approx. 1hr) Your own transport will be needed to get to the starting point.
High Dam via Great Knott Wood A longer walk taking approx. 2.5 hours.
Lakeside to Newby Bridge Up to 2 miles on an accessible path, ideal for those who prefer something simpler.
Return to Lakeside where a warming drink and pastry awaits.
Feast upon Christmas Lunch from 1pm. Then, get your aprons on and join some of your fellow guests to serve Christmas Dinner to the hotel team.
Into the evening, relax and enjoy a few light bites from the buffet, as we play some family games and the Christmas quiz.
Boxing Day
A Grazing Brunch is served overlooking Lake Windermere. Continental breakfast is available from 9am.
Enjoy the day discovering the Lake District scenery, work up an appetite on the fells or visit one of many local attractions. Alternatively, just spend your day relaxing in the hotel games room, pool and spa.
Upon your return enjoy a buffet of sweet treats with tea and coffee.
Dinner is served in the Lakeview Restaurant, Oak Room and Conservatory.
Enjoy some after-dinner fun at the Lakeside Casino with prizes to be won!
27th December
Breakfast will be served overlooking Lake Windermere. Take this opportunity to say farewell to friends old and new.
Depart your bedroom by 11am, however you are more than welcome to carry on using the facilities after check-out. Our porters can store your bags until you are ready to leave.
