The Lodge offers two separate suites each with their own adjoining lounge and huge picture window brimming with views of Lake Windermere. Set in its own position by the lakeshore with private patio with additional outdoor deluxe bath and gardens. The Lodge is a private retreat, in an envied position by the lakeshore, yet only a few steps away from the hotel. It offers the best of two perfect worlds – the peace and seclusion of your own place, with the personal service, superb facilities and fine food of Lakeside.
These spacious suites offer a panorama of the lake and fells. Rooms feature a superking size bed which can be twinned if preferred and adjoining lounge offering luxurious accommodation near the water’s edge.
These double rooms, our most popular choice, enjoy unrivalled views of Lake Windermere from their seating area less than a stone’s throw from the water.
Ground floor terrace rooms offer the choice of kingsize or twin beds and benefit from patio windows opening onto a furnished terrace and garden leading directly to the lake, making most of the spectacular views and position.
These spacious deluxe double rooms are our most popular choice. They enjoy unrivalled views of Lake Windermere from their seating area and are less than a stone’s throw from the water.
Our Classic Junior Suites look out over the woodlands or hotel grounds. Many of our Classic Junior Suites feature a small lounge area within the room.
A sofa bed provides a comfortable space for a child and there is space to add a extra Z-bed or cot to make this a family option.
These spacious and very popular rooms feature a lounge area within the room and king size bed overlooking the inner courtyard of the hotel. A second internal bedroom with bunk beds allows these suites to become the perfect family suite.
Our well-appointed Classic rooms look out over the woodlands or hotel grounds and are located in the peaceful country house wing of the hotel. A Ground floor room (King/Twin) with wet room can be requested, subject to availability at the time of booking. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay with their owners in a number of these rooms and in the main public areas. Dining will be in either our conservatory or bar. Dogs are excluded from the main restaurant and spa area.
With access to their own private themed garden these rooms are situated in the country house wing of the hotel. Rooms feature individual antique furnishings and a queen size bed with Lakeland views overlooking the gardens towards the lake and Gummers How fell. Well-behaved pets are welcome to stay with their owners in these rooms and in the main public areas. Dining will be in either our conservatory or bar. Dogs are excluded from the main restaurant and spa area.

These rooms are smaller and overlook the internal courtyard area of the hotel.
All our Lakeview doubles feature cosy seating areas at the window, and Lakeview terrace doubles on the ground-floor rooms open out onto your own patio with lake or garden outlook. Meanwhile, our family suites set new standards in luxury and privacy for mums, dads, youngsters and teens.
If its a 4* hideaway you’re after, look no further than our panoramic lodge suites, offering a secluded location within the hotel’s grounds.
Although dogs are not allowed in public areas of the hotel, we do welcome dogs to stay in our garden rooms giving guests the option to holiday with their trusty companion. The choice of local walks will be a dream vacation for any pooch.
